For children starting school for the first time, September Admissions into Reception are overseen by the Local Authority Coordinated Admission Scheme.
Information detailing these arrangements is provided in a book published by the Local Authority in accordance with Section (5) of the Education Act 1980. Copies are available from People & Communities Department, Admissions & Transport, Bath & North East Somerset Council, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath BA1 1JG. Alternatively, the booklets are available in PDF format on Bath and North East Somerset Council’s website.
If for any reason you are unable to access them, please contact Bath & North East Somerset Council on 01225 477000 and ask for School Admissions and Transport, write to them at the above address or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
For in-year admissions & transfers, an Expression of Interest form must be completed and submitted directly to the school office. For further admissions queries please contact Dr. Lawrence at the AAA school office.
The Abbot Alphege Admissions Criteria and Arrangements are set out as follows:
Senior staff are always pleased to show prospective pupils’ parents the school at work and to hold individual meetings with parents to discuss the philosophy and aims of the school. Please telephone for an appointment. We also offer the opportunity to visit the school during our Open Mornings.
Children due to start at the beginning of the new school year, i.e. September, are invited to visit the school during the Summer Term to meet new friends and have a first taste of the Reception class environment.
