I am absolutely honoured to be the Headteacher of Abbot Alphege Academy, a wonderful, small primary academy in the Lansdown area of Bath.
We are proud to be a very inclusive school and we welcome all children into our nurturing and caring environment. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of all of our learners, and making sure that they are all supported and challenged in their learning, whatever their starting points. We have a highly committed staff, wonderful, curious and engaged children, and we are housed in a beautiful building.
As we are a relatively new school, we are fortunate enough to have small numbers in each of our classes. As with most small schools. all of our children (other than our Reception class) are taught in mixed age group classes, and the children really benefit from working in this way, being able to collaborate and support each other in a variety of ways.
We consider all of our children to be capable and exceptional learners, and we work hard to support and challenge each and every one of them to be happy, feel valued and safe, and be academically fulfilled in their primary school.
We work closely with our parents and carers who give our children great support at home and work in partnership with us.
We are a Church of England Academy and we offer our children the opportunity to explore the value of worship and prayer, and to ask those big questions. We are developing great links with our local church, and have a core set of Christian Values that guide everything that we do in our school.
We offer all of our children an exciting and broad curriculum, that is relevant to them and develops the key knowledge and skills that they need for learning and for life.
We would love to welcome you to our academy and show you our amazing school, so please contact the office if you wish to visit.
