Ofsted

In January 2022, we had our first Ofsted inspection since opening.

We are really proud that the inspectors identified that:

The school is nurturing and has a family feel throughout;

Leaders have high expectations of what children will achieve;

Pupils are polite and welcoming…they feel happy and safe at school.

Staff at the school are dedicated to meeting the needs of pupils;

Children in Reception experience a wide range of rich texts to support their language and vocabulary development;

The school promotes pupils’ personal development well. Staff make sure that pupils, including those who are disadvantaged and those with SEND, develop their independence and resilience.

Our Ofsted inspection took place shortly after extended periods of school closures as a result of Covid 19, which impacted on the usual developments that take place during a school year.  During that time, the school also appointed a new Headteacher.  We are delighted therefore that the inspectors confirmed that

…leaders, including governors, accurately identify the improvements needed to secure a good quality of education for pupils…leaders are working on the right things.

If you are interested in finding out more about the school, particularly if you are considering which school may be best suited to your child, we would strongly encourage you to visit so that you can see firsthand the pupil experience at Abbot Alphege.

To arrange a visit please contact  the school office on 01225 580281 or email OFFICE@abbot-alphege.org.uk
